A Family Christmas at Borde Hill

Explore the Garden on a Christmas kids trail, or book to see Santa in his magical Grotto.

🎄 Join us for ‘A Family Christmas at Borde Hill’.

We invite you and your loved ones to experience the magic of Christmas at Borde Hill. On selected days throughout December, the Garden will open its gates from 10am to 3.30pm, welcoming families for a day of festive fun.

Children can write their letters to Santa and explore the Garden on an uplifting Christmas story trail about ‘The Pony Who Dreamt of Being a Reindeer’. Or for an additional charge, pre-book to visit Santa in his magical grotto.

Throughout the event, embrace the beauty of the season with an enchanting winter walk that the whole family can enjoy. As you explore the Garden, immerse yourselves in the crisp air and stunning views before warming up with an indulgent cup of hot chocolate or mulled wine from the Gardeners’ Retreat Café.

The Garden Shop will be open, alongside six carefully curated stalls brimming with gifts for all the family.

Take a look at what’s on below.

Christmas Kids Trail
‘The Pony Who Dreamt of Being a Reindeer’

This winter, children aged 3–8 years old can ignite their imaginations while exploring the Garden on an uplifting story trail about a spirited little pony who longed to be part of the Reindeer Sleigh Team, spreading joy around the globe at Christmas.

But wait, there’s a twist! The legendary Sleigh Team is grounded this year as a magical sleigh bell has mysteriously vanished. Enter Bella the Pony, fuelled by dreams of soaring through the skies alongside Santa’s reindeer, she embarks upon on a quest to locate the missing bell so that the magic of Christmas can remain intact.

Can Bella find the bell in time to save Christmas? Follow the story trail to find out… the fate of the festive season rests upon her tiny hooves!

The trail is free to Members, or £4.00 per child, plus admission and includes a prize. It follows a circular route around the Garden and is available from 10am-3.30pm.
