Step into the world of wild food on this introduction to foraging course
This autumn, join Megan Kinsey from Terra Vitum to experience ancient practices and reconnect with nature on a 2 hour guided walk through the beautiful Borde Hill woodlands, discovering what the season has to offer.
As you journey through this rich landscape, you’ll explore the fascinating world of wild plants, trees, fungi, and berries, uncovering their medicinal uses, edibility, folklore, myths, and historical significance.
Along the way, deepen your connection to the landscape by discovering the edible world that surrounds you. Unlock the magic of mycelium, experience the joy of foraging, and start to see your environment with a new awareness and curiosity.
By the end of the walk, you’ll gain a newfound appreciation for the natural world, with the knowledge and confidence to identify edible plants, fungi, and berries, and ideas for incorporating them into your everyday life.
No walk you take will ever be the same again.
After the workshop, you’re welcome to explore the Garden at your leisure.

About Terra Vitum
Terra Vitum is a small business with big dreams, whose ethos is to teach people how to live more mindfully in conjunction with the wild. Terra Vitum is run by forager Megan and Scientist Tim – who both aspire to teach everyone who listens about fungi and plants. They do this by teaching natural ways of living, foraging, permaculture, and herbalism.
Megan’s passion for nature and slow living was instilled into her from an early age, learning to collect wild berries and plants with her grandparents in North Wales. She started teaching foraging online on TikTok and Instagram during lockdown 2020. Her page, under the username The Garden Cottage, accrued hundreds of thousands of followers in the first year. She hadn’t before thought foraging could be something people would be interested in but the demand grew so Terra Vitum was born.
