Evaluation Consultant

Borde Hill Garden Charity is seeking an experienced Evaluation Consultant to provide evaluation services for the Delivery Phase of the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) supported Reinventing Borde Hill project, which aims to connect people with the restorative power of nature, helping them feel mentally and physically replenished, and inspiring future generations through outdoor learning. The project will celebrate our significant botanical heritage via learning, play, engagement activity, and the provision of new facilities, including a highly-sustainable new Ecolodge building located on the edge of the lake.

For the Delivery Phase we are seeking to engage an individual or consultancy who will provide project-wide Evaluation services. You will establish an Evaluation Framework for the entire Delivery Phase, taking in capital activities as well as other project activities such as the delivery of the activity plan, recruitment, fundraising etc.

The Evaluation Consultant will provide Evaluation services from the beginning of the Delivery Phase until the end of the project. The Delivery Phase capital works are expected to be completed in Summer 2027, and the Activity Plan will continue until 2029. The appointment of the Evaluation Consultant is expected to start in May 2025.

The maximum budget for the evaluation work and all costs is £25,000.
