Honey & Hive – Bee Day

Discover the world of bees at Borde Hill with South Downs Honey and the East Grinstead Beekeeping Society.

As part of our Eco Explorers Trail, we are delighted to be welcoming Douglas Pearce from South Downs Honey for a special pop – up at Borde Hill. Discover a range of handcrafted products, including pure South Downs honey, fruit infused honey jams and nourishing natural honey soaps.

Douglas is a passionate beekeeper, producing high quality handcrafted products from flourishing apiaries nestled within the picturesque South Downs landscape.

Joining him will be the East Grinstead Beekeeping Society who will be bringing the fascinating world of bees to life. Explore a demo hive, learn how a beehive is set up and get hands on with real beekeeping equipment, perfect for children to try on.

Their friendly team will be on hand to chat all things bees, pollinators, and beekeeping. A fun interactive and informative experience for all ages, come and discover the wonderful world of bees.

Don’t forget to explore the Garden on our Eco Explorers Story Trail. The trail can be added to your booking and costs £4 per child, plus admission to include a prize (Free to Members): Find out more
