Garden Map
Plan your visit by viewing a map of our nationally important Garden. Most paths in the formal Garden are step-free and accessible to those with restricted mobility. However, there are some steps and steep slopes which are indicated on the map. The uneven terrain in the Parkland and Woodland is unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies.
There are plenty of benches located around the Garden for relaxing and taking in the sights should you want to stop for a rest.
Christmas Kids Trail & Santa’s Grotto
Saturday 30th November to Sunday 22nd December
This winter, explore the Garden on a daily Christmas kids trail, or book to see Santa in his magical Grotto (weekends only).
Eating at Borde Hill
Visit the Gardeners’ Retreat Café, open daily from 10am and located in the beautiful surroundings between the Rose Garden and the Mid Summer Border. It’s the perfect spot to sit and relax with a barista coffee, light lunch or a delicious cup of tea.
Choose from an enticing selection of freshly made sandwiches, toasties, and savoury delights, as well as a delicious array of cakes and bakes.
Private Hire
Are you looking for a beautiful and tranquil venue for a special celebration, or a unique setting to entertain your clients, host a meeting or treat staff to an away day?
Our wonderfully decorated marquee can be privately hired and can accommodate up to 80 people. Instead of a break out room, your clients or team will enjoy getting out into the fresh air and exploring the Garden, to reawaken the senses and promote wellbeing.
