Wellbeing at Borde Hill

A space to move, breathe and reconnect with nature

Rooted in Nature

Borde Hill is shaped by a deep connection with plants, landscape and the natural world – a place to pause and experience the restorative power of nature.

Time spent outside offers an opportunity to step away from the busy everyday and reconnect with ourselves and the natural world around us. Across the Garden, Parkland and wider estate, wander beneath the trees, follow woodland paths, spend peaceful time beside the lakes or simply find a quiet place to sit and take in the changing landscape.

Building on this connection, our growing wellbeing programme brings together movement and strength, rest and recovery, nourishing food and seasonal experiences designed to nurture both body and mind.

Guided by the changing seasons, wellbeing at Borde Hill is about making time to slow down and experience joyful balance in nature.

Folde

Movement, strength and restoration

Set within The Stables at Borde Hill, Folde is a movement and wellbeing studio where strength, mobility and restoration come together.

Created by Carl Faure, a leading yoga and movement teacher with 20 years’ experience, including 10 years at the helm of pioneering London studio Stretch, Folde brings together three complementary practices:

Forge – functional strength and natural movement

Floor – contemporary yoga combining mobility, breath and mindful movement

Fallow – restorative movement, breathwork and stillness

At Borde Hill, practice extends beyond the studio. With the Garden, woodland and wider estate just outside, Folde offers an opportunity to move with greater awareness of both body and surroundings.

Classes take place throughout the week, alongside a changing programme of workshops and retreats.

Sauna Oreka

Bring yourself back to balance

Nestled within the woodland of Borde Hill’s South Park, overlooking Robertsmere Lake, Sauna Oreka offers a different way to experience the landscape.

Drawing on the ancient practice of sauna bathing, Oreka invites you to move between the warmth of a wood-fired sauna and the invigorating cold of the plunge, with time in between to breathe, pause and take in the surrounding woodland and water.

Community sessions offer a shared experience in small groups, while private sessions provide space to enjoy the sauna with friends or family.

Rooted in the elements and immersed in nature, Oreka is a place to slow down, reset and emerge restored.

Nourish

From garden to table

Wellbeing continues at the table at Edie’s Kitchen, where seasonal dishes sit alongside fresh juices, kombucha, herbal teas and other feel-good drinks.

With produce from our biodynamic Market and Walled Kitchen Gardens appearing across the menu, it’s a relaxed place to pause and refuel – whether after a class, sauna session or time spent exploring our historic Garden and Parkland.
