The Halloween Trail at Borde Hill

A Haunting Halloween – Daily Kids Trail

There’s something strange in the neighbourhood, it’s rather weird and doesn’t look good…. think we need to call The Ghost Hunters!

This Halloween Half Term something supernatural is brewing at Borde Hill and we’re calling all young Ghost Hunters to come and find out what’s spooking the Powers Family at Mortal Mansion. Explore the Garden on a children’s story trail to see if you can help solve the mystery as to why Sir Haunt-A-Lot is unable to rest in peace.

Ghost Hunter’s taking part will have to answer riddles, solve clues and see how fast they can navigate around Ghost Ships on the South Lawn to help bring peace back to Mortal Mansion. Everyone completing the trail will receive a prize, and on selected days can visit Miss Crimson Nightshade in her mysterious library to tell her what Sir Haunt-A-Lot is seeking.

To join the adventure, it’s free for Members, or £4.50 per child plus Garden admission.

Halloween Activities – 11am to 3pm on Selected Days

Throughout half term, there’s a bewitching array of Halloween activities. Taking place inside our Garden Marquee, these events come with additional charges. Don’t miss out—spaces are limited, so booking is recommended.

Details coming soon.

The Halloween Trail at Borde Hill

After all the excitement, children can continue their adventure in the Playground or recharge with a tasty snack and warming drink at the Garden Café and Ginkgo Coffee Shop.

Families can also wander and explore the changing colours of the season. Immerse yourself in the Garden’s rich reds and glorious golds on the cornus, acers, liquidambar trees, and deciduous azaleas. Grab your wellies and venture further afield to enjoy panoramic views across the lakes and Parkland, where native and exotic trees glow in seasonal splendour.
