Meet The Next Generation of Borde Hill
Listed by English Heritage as being of Grade II* historic importance and set in 383 acres of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the High Weald, Borde Hill is of national botanical significance and features one of the rarest collections of privately owned champion trees in the UK. Owned by the Stephenson Clarke family for over a century, 2023 sees Borde Hill celebrate 130 years since visionary plantsman and owner Colonel Stephenson Robert Clarke CB first created the magnificent collection of rare trees and flowering shrubs across the Estate.

Itinerary
10:00 – Tea, Coffee and biscuits on arrival in the Elizabethan Mansion House
10:30 – Jay Goddard (née Stephenson Clarke) and Mr Andrewjohn Stephenson Clarke share their family’s vision for the future of Borde Hill
11:30 – A guided tour of the 17-acre formal Garden with Head of Horticulture, Harry Baldwin
12:45 – Lunch served inside the Elizabethan Mansion House, including a 2 course meal, a glass of wine and coffee
15:00 – Time to explore the Garden at leisure
