Father Christmas (Temporary, Part Time)

The role:
We are seeking a Father Christmas for our magical Christmas event taking place every weekend from 29th November to 22nd December, to help spread festive magic to families with children under 8 years.

Becoming Father Christmas is a magical task and you will ensure each and every person who visits the Borde Hill Christmas Grotto has a truly special experience. Father Christmas is only ever seen by our visitors as the man himself, and not in any other capacity in order to keep the believability. This involves character work, endless energy and a love for Christmas magic. You must adhere to the Father Christmas character at all times.

Alongside Mrs Claus and your elves you will deliver a memorable visit, engaging with children to discover their Christmas wishes and giving them a small gift to take home. A constant commitment to the Santa story is essential and a desire to make all our younger visitors’ dreams come true. Only committed and responsible applicants, with a love of all things Christmas will be considered.

Applicants must be available for at least 4 of these dates; 29th & 30th November, 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th 20th, 21st and 22nd December between 9.15am and 3.45pm, plus possible additional dates for pre-school children on 5th and 12th December.

Salary: £140 per day

Hours: 7 hours per day (this could be a job share)

To apply: email your CV & covering letter to: [email protected]

Closing date: 6th July
