Group Visits
Whether visiting with a large group of friends or a group of fellow plant lovers, we can cater for all. We offer pre-booked group talks and tours with expert guides around our Garden and have a varied event programme on offer throughout the season.
For those looking for something extra, we’ve teamed up with a selection of neighbouring Sussex attractions to offer contrasting day packages to groups of 15+ people.
Garden Map
View a map of our nationally important English country Garden. Most paths in the formal Garden are step-free and accessible to those with restricted mobility. However, there are some steps and steep slopes which are indicated on the map.
There are plenty of benches located around the Garden for relaxing and taking in the sights should you want to stop for a rest.
Testimonials
Such a lovely place to visit regularly. Membership is really good value and there are lots of events including Sculpture and Plant Fairs as well as music and food festivals. Friendly staff too. It's a lovely walk through what feels like different gardens and great to experience the seasons. It feels as though you're in the middle of the countryside when in fact the nearest town is only a short distance away.

We loved visiting Borde Hill and have plans to come back! I visited with a friend and our two boys (14 and 17 months) and we enjoyed every aspect. For a young family it’s ideal, there’s lots of paths with flowers and shrubs either side of the paths (effectively acting as borders) so our toddlers could potter along the paths without going too far or going the wrong way. We followed a nature trail which was excellently set out and well run. There’s a wonderful range of plants and flowers, some really interesting things and some beautiful and tranquil gardens. We found the paths pushchair friendly.

We have just moved to Balcombe. We’ve joined Borde Hill as we had our wedding reception here in 1983! The gardens are lovely. We walked all the way around the woodland walk through Stephanie’s Glade and also around the formal gardens, which have some lovely spring flowers. As a rose lover, I can’t wait to see the rose garden in bloom. Next time we will do the lake walk. So nice to have this on our doorstep.
